Soldier was rescued from a shelter in Arkansas by Ruff Tales Rescue, and specifically his volunteer foster mom, Michelle. Upon getting to know him, she decided she couldn't bear to part with him and adopted him herself. He lives a full, happy life with his loving family in Rhode Island. He has kitty friends, two Rottweilers, a tiny Chihuahua and senior pug that live with him.

Soldier doesn't let having three legs slow him down one bit. His owner, Michelle, talked and laughed about all of the cute and amusing things he does, like laps through the house and tapping her with his one front leg. "With all that he's endured," Michelle said, "he is so happy and loving, and just happy to be a dog... Specifically my dog!"
