THE PITBULL PROJECT
About
This project is meant to help inform people about the true nature of some of America's most feared and misunderstood dogs. Through compiled research and statistics, photography, film, and interviews I have tried to show the love these dogs exude.

I spoke with owners, adoption centers, rescue professionals and animal control. Traveling to south east Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Springfield, Massachusetts, I met several dogs who repudiate the negative stereotypes often associated with dogs deemed "pit bull".
​
It is important to note that "pit bull" is not an AKC (American Kennel Club) recognized breed. To learn more about this, please check out the brief history and statistics page here and the video below.
